CrayonsChristian Faur is an artist based in Granville, Ohio. Looking for a new technique, he experimented with painting with wax, but he didn't feel the results were satisfactory. Then, at Christmas in 2005, his young daughter opened a box of 120 Crayola crayons he'd bought her, and everything clicked into place. Faur decided he would create pictures out of the crayons themselves, packing thousands of them together so they become like the colored pixels on a TV screen. | The World of The Last of Us Iconic Buildings 20 Years After the Apocalypse | Andrew MyersWe're going to guess that you've never seen a shirt quite like this. It's been over two years since we first came across the incredible screw portraits by Andrew Myers. The Laguna Beach-based artist stunned us with his unique works that were made by patiently drilling in 8,000 to 10,000 screws into plywood panel. Myers doesn't rely on any computer software to guide him. Instead, he drills in screws at different depths all by instinct to create his magnificent 3-D portraits. |
