Diego Gravinese was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. There he studied at the Fine Arts School Prilidiano Pueyrredon. Diego’s paintings are best described as Hyperrealism. His scenes capture candid moments of everyday life. At first glimpse they resemble what is posted on social media websites by the millions. It is only on closer inspection that one notices the intricate details that make his work larger than life. The philosopher Jean Baudrillard described Hyperrealism as "the simulation of something that never really existed". Diego’s work is therefore all the more relevant in this digital day and age.
